Carrera et al. (2004), Application 1: two end-members, two species.

A river and seawater mixing in a coastal aquifer, traced by chloride and sulphate, inspired by Barcelona groundwater. True compositions and noise levels are Tables 1 and 2 of the paper.

The paper uses n_samples=4 to show how badly the mixing line is defined with few samples, and n_samples=50 to show the cure.
